Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Planning Engineer to join our team for a long-term KJO Project at Khafji Site. The Planning Engineer will be responsible for project planning, scheduling, progress monitoring, reporting, and coordination with engineering, construction, procurement, and project management teams to ensure timely and efficient project execution.

Key Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules in line with project requirements and contractual milestones.
Prepare baseline schedules, look-ahead schedules, recovery schedules, and detailed work programs.
Monitor actual progress against planned activities and identify delays, slippages, and potential schedule risks.
Collect and analyze progress data from engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports and schedule updates.
Track project milestones, critical activities, and overall project performance.
Perform schedule analysis and provide recommendations for mitigating delays.
Coordinate with project and site teams to ensure timely completion of planned activities.
Prepare manpower and resource requirements based on project schedules.
Monitor productivity and progress against planned quantities and targets.
Assist in developing recovery and mitigation plans for delayed activities.
Prepare progress curves, histograms, S-curves, and other planning and performance reports.
Participate in progress meetings and provide schedule-related updates to management and the client.
Maintain proper planning records, schedule updates, and supporting documentation.
Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to obtain accurate progress information.
Ensure project schedules are aligned with approved execution strategies and contractual requirements.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
5+ years of relevant experience as a Planning Engineer, preferably in Oil & Gas, EPC, construction, or industrial projects.
Experience working on Saudi Aramco/KJO projects is highly preferred.
Strong experience in project planning, scheduling, progress monitoring, and reporting.
Proficiency in Primavera P6 is mandatory.
Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
Strong understanding of project planning, critical path, resource loading, and schedule management.
Ability to analyze project progress and identify schedule risks and delays.
Good communication and coordination skills.
Ability to work independently and effectively in a site-based environment.
Candidates with Khafji/KJO project experience will be highly preferred.
