Role Description
(The Mechanical BIM Engineer -full-time, on-site role based in Al Khobar
Role Description
• Experience using Revit for MECHANICAL systems
• focusing on the design, coordination, and documentation of mechanical systems within multidisciplinary building projects. Day-to-day tasks include developing and maintaining BIM models for mechanical systems,
• preparing construction drawings, and coordinating with architecture, civil, and MEP disciplines to resolve design clashes and ensure accurate integration. The role involves reviewing project specifications,
• applying relevant standards, and producing detailed layouts and schedules for HVAC, plumbing, and other mechanical components.
• Collaborate with project managers and site teams, support design revisions, and contribute to delivering projects on time and within quality requirements
• Participation in design meetings, documentation updates, and continuous optimization of BIM workflows.
Qualifications
• Candidates should possess strong proficiency in Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools and workflows for mechanical systems.
• Candidates should possess skills in preparing and interpreting Construction Drawings for mechanical installations.
• Candidates should possess familiarity with Mechanical Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) coordination, including HVAC and plumbing design aspects.
• Candidates should possess an understanding of Architecture and Civil Engineering fundamentals to ensure integrated, clash-free designs.
• Relevant bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Experience with industry-standard BIM and CAD software (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD or similar) for mechanical design and documentation.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to troubleshoot design and coordination issues.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities, with capacity to collaborate with multidisciplinary project stakeholders on-site.
• Knowledge of local and international building codes and standards related to mechanical systems is beneficial.
• Prior experience in building or infrastructure projects in the Gulf region is an advantage.
