Jadarat Workforce Services Co. Ltd. is looking for a highly skilled and experienced GenSet Technician to join our operations team in Jeddah. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing Carrier and Thermo King GenSets used for refrigerated container operations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Preventive Maintenance
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) in accordance with OEM manuals and company maintenance standards.
Conduct engine servicing including:
Engine oil replacement
Fuel filter replacement
Air filter replacement
Coolant inspection and replacement
Battery inspection and servicing
Belt tension inspection and adjustment
Ensure all maintenance activities are completed within prescribed intervals and recorded accurately.
2. Diagnostics & Troubleshooting
Diagnose and rectify:
Engine starting failures
Low output voltage conditions
Frequency fluctuations
Battery charging system faults
Fuel delivery issues
ECU/controller faults
Alternator performance failures
Safety shutdown alarms
Utilize OEM diagnostic software and testing equipment to identify root causes.
Perform fault-finding using electrical schematics and service manuals.
3. Carrier GenSet Technical Expertise
The candidate must be capable of maintaining and repairing:
Carrier PowerLine Plus
Carrier PowerLine UG15
Carrier PowerLine UG25
Carrier PrimeLINE-compatible power systems
Carrier 69RG15 Clip-On GenSets
Carrier RG69032 Dual Speed Underslung GenSets
Technical competencies include:
Dual-speed diesel engine diagnostics and operation
AVR testing and calibration
Engine speed control and frequency regulation
Alternator winding and excitation system troubleshooting
Carrier microprocessor controller diagnostics
Load testing under reefer operating conditions
Generator output verification (460V / 60Hz supply)
DataCOLD fault diagnosis
Engine shutdown protection systems troubleshooting
Fuel injector and fuel system maintenance
Reefer plug output and grounding verification
4. Thermo King GenSet Technical Expertise
Experience in maintaining and repairing:
Thermo King SG-3000
SG-3500
SGSM Models
SGCO Models
Clip-On and Underslung GenSets
Responsibilities include:
Smart controller diagnostics and alarm troubleshooting
Alternator and voltage regulator testing
Diesel engine performance analysis
Fuel system inspections and repairs
Electrical harness troubleshooting
Load testing under reefer operating conditions
Governor calibration and adjustments
Power quality verification
5. Electrical Systems Maintenance
Digital multimeters
Clamp meters
Insulation resistance testers (Megger)
Battery load testers
6. Operational Support
Provide technical support to transport and reefer operations teams.
Attend roadside and field breakdowns when required.
Ensure GenSets are operational and ready for dispatch.
Support emergency recovery of temperature-sensitive cargo.
7. Inspection & Quality Control
Fuel levels
Battery condition
Engine performance
Electrical output quality
Safety system functionality
8. Documentation & Reporting
Maintain detailed service reports.
Record PM completion status.
Update equipment maintenance history.
Report recurring failures and reliability concerns.
Support warranty claims and investigations.
Maintain spare parts inventory records.
Requirements
Diploma/Technical Certification in Mechanical, Electrical, Automotive or Diesel Engineering.
Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience with Generator Sets, Reefer Equipment, or Heavy Equipment Maintenance.
Experience with Carrier and Thermo King GenSets is mandatory.
Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
Urgent Hiring – GenSet Supervisor
Location: Jeddah, Saudi Arabia
We are seeking an experienced GenSet Supervisor to lead GenSet maintenance operations, supervise technicians, and ensure maximum equipment availability for refrigerated container operations.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate all preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
Lead troubleshooting and repair of Carrier and Thermo King GenSets.
Manage maintenance planning, workforce allocation, and operational readiness.
Ensure compliance with OEM maintenance standards and safety regulations.
Review maintenance reports, equipment history records, and service quality.
Monitor equipment reliability and implement corrective actions to reduce downtime.
Oversee inspections, testing, and certification prior to equipment deployment.
Support emergency breakdown response and temperature-controlled cargo recovery operations.
Manage spare parts inventory and ensure availability of critical components.
Provide technical coaching, guidance, and performance support to technicians.
Liaise with operations teams to ensure fleet readiness and customer service excellence.
Technical Requirements
Strong expertise in Carrier Power Line and Thermo King GenSet systems.
Advanced knowledge of:
Diesel engines
Generator systems
Electrical control circuits
AVRs and governors
Reefer power requirements
OEM diagnostic software
Electrical testing equipment
Qualifications
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
Minimum 5-8 years of GenSet maintenance experience, including supervisory responsibilities.
Experience in logistics, shipping, container terminals, or cold-chain operations preferred.
Strong leadership, planning, and reporting skills.
