📢 Procurement Engineer Required

A leading Construction Company is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Procurement Engineer with relevant experience in Saudi Arabia to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, sourcing, negotiating, and procuring materials, equipment, and subcontract services for construction projects while ensuring cost-effectiveness, quality, and timely delivery. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical knowledge, excellent negotiation skills, and experience managing procurement activities for large-scale construction projects.

* Requirements: *

Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related Engineering discipline.

Experience: 3–5 years of procurement experience within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Proven experience in construction projects, including:
-- Infrastructure Works
-- Landscape Works
-- Building Construction
-- Fit-Out Projects
-- MEP (Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing) Works

Software Skills: Microsoft Office (Advanced Excel)
ERP Systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or equivalent)
Procurement & Inventory Management Software

Technical Knowledge:

-- Material Submittals & Technical Evaluation
-- Contract & Commercial Awareness
-- Supply Chain Management

* Certifications (Preferred): *

Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM)

* Key Responsibilities: *

- Develop and implement procurement plans in line with project schedules and budgets.
- Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain the best commercial and technical offers.
- Prepare and issue Requests for Quotation (RFQs), bid evaluations, purchase orders, and - procurement documentation.
- Coordinate with engineering, planning, project management, and finance teams to ensure timely procurement of materials and services.
- Review technical specifications, drawings, BOQs, and material submittals before procurement.
- Monitor supplier performance, delivery schedules, and compliance with contractual obligations.
- Manage procurement budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities through strategic sourcing and value engineering.
- Evaluate supplier quotations based on technical compliance, commercial terms, and delivery requirements.
- Maintain supplier databases and develop long-term relationships with approved vendors.
- Coordinate logistics, shipment tracking, customs clearance, and material delivery to project sites.
Resolve procurement-related issues, supplier disputes, and delivery delays.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, contractual requirements, and Saudi regulations.
- Support tendering activities by obtaining quotations and preparing commercial comparisons.
- Maintain procurement records, contracts, purchase orders, and supplier documentation.
- Prepare procurement status reports, management dashboards, and monthly procurement progress updates.
