Description

Key Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and maintain QA/QC procedures in accordance with project specifications, client requirements, and applicable international standards.
Review approved drawings, specifications, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), Method Statements, and Quality Control Procedures before execution.
Conduct inspections of incoming materials, fabrication, welding, assembly, surface preparation, painting, and erection activities.
Ensure all steel fabrication and erection activities comply with approved drawings, project specifications, and relevant codes (AWS, AISC, ISO, BS, ASTM, etc.).
Coordinate with production, fabrication, site, and client representatives for inspection activities.
Perform visual inspections of welds and coordinate Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) such as UT, MT, PT, and RT when required.
Verify material traceability, mill test certificates (MTCs), and welding consumables.
Monitor fit-up, dimensional accuracy, alignment, bolt tightening, and erection tolerances.
Inspect surface preparation, painting, and coating works, including DFT (Dry Film Thickness) measurements.
Raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and monitor corrective and preventive actions until closure.
Prepare and maintain QA/QC documentation, including inspection reports, material records, test reports, and quality dossiers.
Coordinate client, consultant, and third-party inspections and obtain required approvals.
Ensure calibration records for inspection and measuring instruments are valid and up to date.
Participate in internal quality audits and support external audits.
Monitor subcontractor quality performance and ensure compliance with project quality requirements.
Assist in preparing final quality documentation and project handover packages.
Promote compliance with HSE requirements during inspection activities.
Report quality issues, inspection status, and project progress to the QA/QC Manager or Project Manager.
