# **JOB VACANCY – QUANTITY SURVEYOR**

## Job Summary

Barq Al Mustaqbal Co. is seeking a qualified and experienced **Quantity Surveyor** to join our **NWC Infrastructure Project** team in **Al Ahsa, Saudi Arabia**.

The successful candidate will be responsible for quantity take-offs, cost estimation, contract administration, cost control, preparation of Interim Payment Applications (IPAs), variation orders, claims management, and ensuring the successful commercial management of the project in accordance with contract requirements and NWC standards.

## Key Responsibilities

* Prepare quantity take-offs from approved drawings and specifications.
* Prepare and review Bills of Quantities (BOQs), cost estimates, and project budgets.
* Prepare Interim Payment Applications (IPAs) and Final Accounts.
* Measure completed work and verify subcontractor payment certificates.
* Prepare, evaluate, and negotiate Variation Orders (VOs) and Claims.
* Monitor project costs and prepare regular cost reports.
* Review contract documents, drawings, and technical specifications.
* Coordinate with the Project Manager, Site Engineers, Consultants, and Client Representatives.
* Maintain accurate records of quantities, measurements, and commercial documentation.
* Ensure compliance with contract conditions, project specifications, and NWC requirements.

## Requirements

* Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying.
* Minimum **7 years** of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in construction and infrastructure projects.
* Strong knowledge of quantity surveying principles, cost control, and contract administration.
* Previous experience working on **NWC infrastructure projects**.
* Experience in BOQ preparation, quantity take-offs, payment applications, variation orders, and claims.
* Good communication, analytical, negotiation, and reporting skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel, and AutoCAD.

## NWC Scope of Work

Candidates should have experience in one or more of the following:

* Water Transmission & Distribution Networks
* Water Pipeline Installation and House Connections
* HDPE, DI, Steel, and GRP Pipeline Works
* Valve Chambers and Associated Appurtenances
* Pumping Stations
* Water Reservoirs and Storage Tanks
* Earthworks and Utility Infrastructure
* Testing, Commissioning, and Project Handover
* BOQ Preparation and Quantity Measurement
* Compliance with NWC Specifications and Contract Requirements
* Coordination with NWC Representatives, Consultants, and Project Stakeholders

## Mandatory Requirements

✅ Valid Transferable Iqama

✅ Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) Registration is mandatory.

✅ **Valid NWC Approval as a Quantity Surveyor is mandatory.**
