# Position Overview

The Claims Manager will lead the contractual claims function for a large-scale, fast-track mega project. The role requires extensive experience in identifying, preparing, substantiating, negotiating, and resolving Extension of Time (EOT), disruption, acceleration, variation, prolongation, and cost claims under international construction contracts.

The successful candidate must proactively protect the company's contractual and commercial interests while maintaining strong relationships with the Client, Engineer/PMC, subcontractors, and internal project teams.

# Key Responsibilities

## 1. Contractual Claims Management

Manage the complete lifecycle of:

* Extension of Time (EOT) Claims
* Delay Claims
* Disruption Claims
* Prolongation Claims
* Loss & Expense Claims
* Acceleration Claims
* Variation Claims
* Change Orders
* Productivity Loss Claims
* Additional Cost Claims
* Force Majeure Claims
* Concurrent Delay Analysis
* Final Account Claims

## 2. Contract Administration

Interpret and administer contract provisions.

Ensure compliance with:

* Notice requirements
* Time bars
* Claim procedures
* Contractual obligations
* Payment provisions
* Variations
* Compensation events
* Risk allocation

---

## 3. Claim Preparation

Lead preparation of:

* Particulars
* Cause and effect analysis
* Entitlement analysis
* Quantum assessment
* Delay analysis
* Cost substantiation
* Supporting documentation

---

## 4. Delay Analysis

Must possess expertise in:

* Primavera P6
* Critical Path Method (CPM)
* Window Analysis
* Time Impact Analysis (TIA)
* As-Planned vs As-Built
* Impacted Programme Analysis
* Forensic Schedule Analysis

---

## 5. Commercial Coordination

Coordinate with:

* Planning Department
* Quantity Surveyors
* Site Engineers
* Construction Managers
* Procurement
* Cost Control
* Finance
* Design Team
* QA/QC
* HSE

---

## 6. Client / Consultant Interface

Lead contractual discussions with:

* Client
* Engineer
* PMC
* Commercial representatives

Prepare:

* Claim presentations
* Negotiation strategies
* Executive summaries

---

## 7. Documentation

Develop and maintain:

* Claim registers
* Delay registers
* Correspondence logs
* Variation registers
* Risk registers
* Commercial trackers

---

## 8. Subcontract Management

Review and assess:

* Subcontractor claims
* Back-to-back entitlement
* Recovery opportunities
* Risk exposure

---

## 9. Arbitration / Dispute Support

Support:

* Expert reports
* Arbitration
* Mediation
* Dispute Adjudication Boards (DAB/DAAB)
* Legal counsel

---

# Required Knowledge

Candidates should demonstrate experience with:

* FIDIC 1999/2017
* NEC (preferred)
* International construction contracts
* GCC mega projects
* Saudi construction practices
* Delay and disruption methodologies
* Commercial risk management
