Position Title:
Mechnical Technical Engineer
Department:
Engineering / Technical (office)

Job Purpose
To provide technical support, prepare documentation, review specifications, and coordinate between design, production, and clients for all valve-related projects (e.g., gate valves, butterfly valves, control valves, actuators etc).

Key Responsibilities
1. Technical Review & Documentation
• Review client specifications, BOQ, and drawings.
• Prepare technical submittals, datasheets, and compliance sheets.
• Prepare internal test report, MTC, warranty.
• Prepare documents for SASO and ISO audits
• Ensure compliance with standards such as:
o ISO (e.g., ISO 2531, ISO 5208)
o AWWA (C504, C509, etc.)

2. Coordination with Production
• Liaise with factory team for:
o Production drawings
o Material specifications
o Manufacturing feasibility
• Support troubleshooting of technical issues.

3. Client & Consultant Communication
• Respond to technical comments and approvals.
• Prepare technical clarifications (TQs).
• Attend meetings (if required).

4. Quality & Compliance
• Ensure materials and designs meet project requirements.
• Support QA/QC documentation:
o ITP (Inspection Test Plan)
o Material certificates
o Hydrotest reports

5. Actuator & Valve Integration Support
• Review actuator sizing and compatibility (e.g., AUMA actuators).
• Coordinate interface details:
o Flange standards (ISO 5211)
o Torque requirements
o Earthing / CP considerations

6. Software Work
• Use software such as:
o MS Office (Excel, Word)
o Other software if required
________________________________________
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in:
o Mechanical Engineering (preferred)
________________________________________
Experience
• 5 years in KSA:
o Valve manufacturing / piping industry
o Technical office / engineering support
________________________________________
Required Skills
• Strong knowledge of:
o Valve types and applications
o Pressure ratings (PN, Class)
o Materials (DI, CI, SS, Bronze)
• Familiarity with:
o International standards (ISO, AWWA, API)
• Good communication skills
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

Preferred Skills
• Experience with actuators (AUMA, Rotork)
• Knowledge of coatings (e.g. Epoxy, Zinc, Bitumen, Coating)
• Understanding of hydraulic control valves
• ERP system knowledge

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
• Timely submission of technical documents
• Accuracy of datasheets and drawings
• Response time to client queries
• Coordination efficiency with factory
