We are currently looking for an SCM Engineer to join our Supply Chain Management Department in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia.

Job Description:

The SCM Engineer will be responsible for supporting procurement and supply chain activities related to API 675 and API 674 pump manufacturing projects. The role requires strong technical understanding, supplier coordination capabilities, SAP system experience, and local and international supplier market knowledge.

Major Responsibilities:

• Handle procurement and supply chain activities for mechanical and industrial components.
• Coordinate with local and international suppliers for RFQs, technical clarifications, and delivery follow-up.
• Review technical specifications, drawings, and material requirements in coordination with Engineering and Production teams.
• Work on SAP system for PR, PO, material tracking, supplier follow-up, and reporting activities.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors within Saudi Arabia and outside the Kingdom.
• Source suppliers matching Oil & Gas industry requirements and project specifications.
• Follow up supplier deliveries to meet project committed delivery dates (CDD).
• Coordinate with Quality and Warehouse teams regarding inspections, NCRs, and material receiving activities.
• Support localization and vendor development initiatives.
• Prepare comparison sheets, procurement reports, and supplier performance evaluations.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the SCM department.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures, quality standards, and HSE requirements.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering is mandatory.
• Experience in SAP system is mandatory.
• Good knowledge of local suppliers and subcontractors in Saudi Arabia, especially in the Eastern Region, along with international supplier sourcing experience.
• Previous experience in API pump manufacturing, Oil & Gas industry, or API standard-related products is highly preferred.
• Previous experience with Saudi Aramco vendors or projects will be considered an advantage.
• Strong communication, coordination, and negotiation skills.
