URGENT HIRING – WELDING QC INSPECTOR – ACADEMIC QUALIFICATION : MECHANICAL

Vacancies: 2 Nos Location: Jafurah, KSA Client: Saudi Aramco

Key Responsibilities
 Senior technical role responsible for ensuring all welding activities comply with stringent Aramco mandatory engineering requirements (SAMSS, SAES, SATIPs) and international codes (ASME, API, AWS)
 Aramco Compliance & Standards: Ensure all welding activities are executed in strict accordance with Saudi Aramco Engineering Standards (SAES), Materials System Specifications (SAMSS), and approved Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
 Welding Procedure and Performance: Verify and monitor Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), Procedure Qualification Records (PQR), and Welder Performance Qualification Records (WPQ/WQT) as per ASME Section IX or API 1104.
 Site Inspection and Surveillance: Perform 100% visual inspection (VT) of welds before, during, and after welding (fit-up, root pass, final weld) to check for defects such as cracks, lack of fusion, or misalignment.
 Material Verification: Conduct inspection of incoming welding materials, consumables (electrodes/flux), and base materials to ensure compliance with material specifications and proper traceability (MTC verification).
 NDT Review & Coordination: Witness and review Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) results, including Radiographic Testing (RT) film interpretation, Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), and Dye Penetrant Testing (PT).
 Documentation & Reporting: Prepare, review, and maintain QA/QC documentation, including Work Inspection Reports (WIR/RFI), welding maps, and final test packages for client approval.
 Non-Conformance Management: Identify quality issues, issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), and monitor corrective actions, ensuring no defective work is left unrectified.
 Calibration & Safety: Ensure all measuring and testing equipment used is properly calibrated and within valid certification dates, while strictly adhering to site health and safety procedures.
 Client Coordination: Act as the primary technical point of contact for Aramco representatives (PID Inspectors) regarding welding quality, conducting daily/weekly walk-throughs and reporting progress.

Eligibility Criteria
Technical Expertise
 Experience: A minimum of 10 years of experience in welding inspection, with a significant portion within Saudi Aramco construction projects (Oil & Gas, Piping, Pipeline, or Storage Tanks).
 Certification: Valid AWS-CWI (Certified Welding Inspector) or CSWIP 3.1 / 3.2 Registered Welding Inspector certification.
 Aramco Approval: Valid Saudi Aramco Approved Inspector status (with SAP number) and passed Computer Based Test (CBT).
 NDT Qualifications: Valid ASNT Level II certification in RTFI (Radiographic Testing Film Interpretation), PT, and MT.
 Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
 Skills: Strong knowledge of ASME B31.3, B31.4, B31.8, ASME BPVC Section V & IX, API 650/620, and AWS D1.1.
 Technical Knowledge: Extensive expertise in specialized welding methods (SMAW, GTAW, FCAW, SAW) on varied materials (CS, SS, Alloy Steel, Inconel cladding).
