We are looking for the position of Technical Testing Engineer – Electrical Testing & Commissioning

Location
Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (Project/Site-Based)

Job Summary

Responsible for electrical testing, pre-commissioning, and commissioning of transformers, circuit breakers, protection relays, CTs, VTs, and RMUs.

Experience on Saudi Aramco / SEC projects preferred but not mandatory. Exposure to major utilities, oil & gas, and industrial projects is desirable.
Key Responsibilities
•
Perform testing, pre-commissioning, and commissioning of LV/MV/HV switchgear, transformers, CTs/VTs, RMUs, and circuit breakers.
•
Configure, test, and commission major protection relays (ABB, Siemens, AREVA/Schneider MiCOM).
•
Operate and manage testing equipment (Megger, OMICRON, FREJA/FREGG, and equivalents).
•
Lead and supervise testing teams; plan and coordinate site activities.
•
Ensure HSE compliance, PTW adherence, and safe work practices.
•
Interface with clients, consultants, and inspectors; prepare test reports and commissioning documentation.
•
Support business development through professional client representation.
Qualifications & Experience
•
Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering.
•
Experience:
o
Diploma: 7–8 years in electrical testing & commissioning.
o
Graduate Engineer: 4–5 years in electrical testing & commissioning.
•
Preferred (Not Mandatory):
o
Experience in Saudi Aramco and/or SEC projects.
o
Exposure to power utilities, oil & gas, petrochemical, industrial, or infrastructure projects.
Skills & Competencies
•
Knowledge of electrical power systems, protection schemes, and switchgear.
•
Ability to interpret drawings, relay settings, and protection philosophies.
•
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and reporting skills.
•
Leadership, team management, and client-handling capabilities.
•
Commitment to safety, quality, and schedule compliance.
Additional Information
•
Position based in Saudi Arabia; willingness to travel to project sites required.
