Required Skills and Qualifications:
Education: Diploma in Mechanical, Production, or relevant engineering field.
Experience: Typically 5–6+ years in piping inspection, specifically in oil & gas, petrochemical, or cross-country pipeline projects.
Standards Knowledge: Familiarity with ASTM, ASME, and API 5L/570 standards.
Aramco Standards: Familiarity with SAES-A-206 (Inspection of Incoming Materials), SAES-L-310 (Materials for Piping Systems), and SAES-A-112 (Material Identification).
Certifications: Often requires valid certifications (e.g., CSWIP, API) and sometimes passing CBT exams for specific clients like Aramco.
Typical Tools & Processes:
Calipers, tape measures, and ultrasonic thickness gauges.
Reviewing Valve QC Inspection and Coating/Painting status.
Managing material traceability using project database systems
