Required Qualifications

Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Fire Proofing Engineering (or equivalent technical qualification)

Valid site safety certification (OSHA / NEBOSH preferred)

Training or certification in Passive Fire Protection (PFP) is an advantage


Key Responsibilities

Supervise daily cementitious fireproofing application activities on steel structures, vessels, columns, beams, and decks

Ensure works comply with approved method statements, ITPs, and project specifications

Verify surface preparation, thickness control, density, adhesion, and curing of cementitious fireproofing

Coordinate with QA/QC, HSE, and engineering teams for inspections and approvals

Maintain records including daily reports, material usage, thickness test reports, and inspection logs

Ensure proper handling, mixing, application, and storage of fireproofing materials

Monitor subcontractors and applicators for workmanship and productivity

Enforce site safety rules, PPE usage, and safe working practices

Support mock-ups, sample panels, and final handover documentation

Identify and rectify non-conformances and site issues promptly
