About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Planning Engineer to join our team. The candidate will lead the mechanical project planning efforts — defining mechanical scopes, creating and maintaining detailed project schedules, coordinating with multiple teams (procurement, construction, engineering), and ensuring mechanical deliverables align with project timelines and standards.


Key Responsibilities

Develop detailed mechanical work breakdown structures (WBS) and baseline schedules for mechanical scopes using Primavera P6 and/or MS Project.

Prepare resource-loaded and cost-loaded schedules for mechanical activities.

Monitor mechanical progress, update progress status, and track performance vs baseline.

Perform schedule forecasting and delay analysis for mechanical scope; provide recommendations to mitigate delays.

Coordinate with procurement, engineering, construction, and subcontractor teams to align mechanical deliverables and resources.

Generate weekly/monthly mechanical progress reports, dashboards, and KPIs.

Support project controls by providing accurate data for mechanical activities, ensuring compliance with contract and project requirements.

Participate in mechanical planning meetings, risk assessments, and schedule reviews.


Qualifications & Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.

6–9 years of proven experience in mechanical planning — ideally in oil & gas / construction / manufacturing / infrastructure projects.

Strong expertise in Primavera P6; proficiency with MS Project is a plus.

Experience in resource and cost loading, earned value analysis for mechanical works.

Good knowledge of mechanical construction methods, procurement, and installation sequences.

Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple mechanical tasks simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
