Painting & Insulation Engineer

Project: Saudi Jafurah Utilities PKG3 (IK)
Location: Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

Roles & Responsibilities

1. Project Planning & Coordination

Review project specifications, drawings, and standards related to surface preparation and painting.

Plan painting schedules, manpower deployment, and material requirements.

Coordinate with Project Managers, QA/QC teams, and clients to ensure compliance with timelines and quality standards.

2. Technical Quality Control

Verify that all paint materials and consumables comply with approved specifications and manufacturer data sheets.

Ensure that surface preparation and coating applications meet ARAMCO and international standards.

3. Documentation & Reporting

Prepare daily and weekly progress reports for painting and insulation works.

Maintain quality documentation and inspection reports.

4. Manpower & Resource Management

Supervise and guide painting crews, blasters, and helpers.

Evaluate worker performance to ensure quality workmanship.

Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely availability of paint materials and equipment.

5. Technical Support & Training

Provide technical guidance on paint systems, surface preparation, and application techniques.

Conduct toolbox talks on coating technology, safety, and best practices.

Stay updated with the latest painting standards and product developments.

6. Maintenance & Repair Works

Plan and execute touch-up, repair, and maintenance painting as required.

Identify coating failures and recommend corrective measures.

7. Cost & Waste Control

Monitor paint and thinner usage to minimize wastage.

Prepare material consumption reports.

Support project management in optimizing productivity and cost efficiency.

Requirements & Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (preferred in Mechanical, Civil, or Chemical).

Expertise / Skills:

Strong ARAMCO construction project experience.

Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel formulas and data management).

Certifications such as BGAS, NACE, or FROSIO are advantageous.

Good knowledge of NACE, SSPC, and ISO coating standards.

Experience:

Over 10 years of experience in painting and insulation works.

Excellent English communication and report-writing skills.

Language:

Fluent in English (spoken and written).

Other Requirements:

Age below 40 years.
