Description

Main Responsibilities and Duties:

• Assist with routine and preventive maintenance on warehouse refrigeration systems, electrical components, and mechanical equipment.
• Support inspections, maintenance, and minor repairs of racking systems and forklifts.
• Learn to troubleshoot and repair industrial refrigeration systems, including compressors, evaporators, condensers, and other cooling units.
• Help with battery maintenance and charging station inspections for electric forklifts.
• Participate in scheduled servicing and safety checks on forklifts to ensure compliance with regulations and company policies.
• Follow OSHA, EPA, and other safety regulations and guidelines.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and work orders.
• Assist in the installation and upgrade of new equipment and systems.
• Respond to emergency repair requests under the guidance of senior technicians.
• Work in extremely cold environments while ensuring proper safety procedures are followed.
• Collaborate with operations and warehouse staff to ensure efficient workflow.

Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training .
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn industrial maintenance, refrigeration, or related skills.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and mechanical systems is a plus but not required.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a cold storage environment (-10°ree;F to -20°ree;F).
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in physically demanding conditions.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
