Role Overview
We are seeking a qualified and experienced QC Inspector specializing in Epoxy Coating, Powder Coating, and Industrial Paintings. The role will ensure that all coating activities meet ARAMCO standards, international codes (SSPC, NACE, ISO, ASTM), and Saudi market requirements. The QC Inspector will be responsible for inspection, testing, documentation, and compliance to guarantee product quality and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform inspection of surface preparation, coating, and painting activities as per project specifications and ARAMCO/International standards.
• Verify coating materials, batch numbers, mixing ratios, curing conditions, and shelf life before application.
• Conduct inspections for:
o Surface cleanliness (Sa 2.5, SSPC-SP standards).
o Dry Film Thickness (DFT).
o Adhesion, holiday testing, gloss, and curing.
o Powder coating oven curing parameters.
• Monitor compliance with ARAMCO-approved procedures and issue NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports) when required.
• Maintain and update quality records, inspection reports, calibration certificates, and test logs.
• Coordinate with ARAMCO inspectors and client representatives for joint inspections.
• Support the development of Inspection Test Plans (ITPs), Method Statements, and QC procedures.
• Ensure compliance with HSE requirements during coating and painting operations.
• Provide training and awareness to shop floor workers on proper coating application techniques and standards.
Required Qualifications:
• Degree / Diploma in Materials Science, or related field (preferred).
• NACE Level II / Level III or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years of QC experience in coatings (epoxy, powder coating, industrial painting) in Saudi Arabia or GCC.
• ARAMCO approval or prior ARAMCO project experience highly desirable.
• Familiar with ISO 12944, SSPC, ASTM, and ISO 9001 quality systems.
• Knowledge of powder coating processes, curing ovens, epoxy paint systems, and industrial surface protection methods.
• Strong communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and QC documentation tools.
• Strong technical knowledge of coating standards & inspection methods.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, WPS, PQR, and client specifications.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
• Good reporting and documentation abilities.
• Capability to interact with ARAMCO inspectors, consultants, and clients.
