Job Summary:
We are seeking a qualified and detail-oriented AV Pre-Sales Design Engineer with proven experience in designing and proposing professional AV systems, including indoor/outdoor digital signage, meeting rooms, and auditorium AV solutions. The ideal candidate will work closely with sales, project, and technical teams to develop customer-focused, innovative, and cost-effective solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
* Analyze RFPs, RFQs, and client requirements to design and recommend AV solutions.
* Design and prepare detailed technical documentation for:
o AV systems (audio, video, control, switching, signal distribution)
o Digital signage systems (indoor & outdoor LED/LCD screens, media players, CMS platforms)
o Meeting rooms and boardrooms (displays, projectors, VC systems, control systems)
o Auditorium solutions (large format displays, PA systems, lighting integration)
* Develop and present AV drawings, system schematics, BOQs, proposals, and compliance documents.
* Conduct site surveys to assess physical layouts, acoustics, and cabling requirements.
* Collaborate with clients, consultants, and vendors to deliver customized, value-engineered solutions.
* Support sales and business development teams with technical presentations, demo setups, and proof-of-concept (POC) configurations.
* Select appropriate AV equipment from industry-leading vendors based on project needs and compliance.
* Ensure all designs align with industry standards (AVIXA/InfoComm), client expectations, and local regulatory requirements.
* Stay up to date with the latest AV technologies, control systems, and digital signage trends.

Qualifications & Experience:
* Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, Audio Engineering, IT, or a related field.
* Minimum 4–7 years of experience in AV system design, pre-sales, or AV consultancy roles.
* Proven expertise in:
o AV systems (audio processors, video switchers, amplifiers, mixers, DSPs)
o Control systems (Crestron, AMX, Extron)
o Video conferencing platforms (Zoom Rooms, Microsoft Teams, Cisco Webex, Poly)
o Digital signage platforms (Samsung MagicINFO, LG Supersign, Scala, Novastar, BrightSign, unilumin.)
o LED/LCD display technologies (indoor/outdoor pitch specification, brightness ratings, IP ratings)
* Strong knowledge of AV over IP, HDBaseT, signal distribution, and audio calibration.
* Familiarity with room acoustics, lighting control, and automation systems.
* Proficient in design software: AutoCAD, Visio, SketchUp, D-Tools, or similar.
* Excellent documentation, communication, and presentation skills.
* Ability to work on multiple projects and deliver under tight deadlines.

* AVIXA CTS or CTS-D
* Crestron DMC-E/DMC-T
* Extron AV Associate or Control Specialist
* Harman/Biamp/Bose product certifications
* Digital Signage Specialist (DSS) Certification (optional)

o Corporate offices & meeting rooms
o Government buildings
o Hotels, retail, and malls
o Educational institutions
o Large venues & auditoriums
* Projects involving indoor/outdoor LED signage with high-lumen displays and environmental considerations.
