Responsibilities

Inspect mechanical components, systems, and installations (e.g. piping, valves, pumps, compressors, tanks, HVAC, fire protection etc.) to ensure they comply with project specifications, engineering drawings, codes, and standards.

Prepare, review, and follow Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), Method Statements, material submittals, weld procedure specifications (WPS), and non-destructive testing (NDT) plans.

Perform dimensional checks, material verification, alignment, leak testing, pressure testing, and other mechanical tests and inspections.

Monitor fabrication and assembly in workshops/factories and on site; ensure that work done by subcontractors meets quality requirements.

Identify non-conformances, raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), follow up on corrective action and ensure closure.

Maintain proper documentation of inspection reports, relevant quality records, and ensure traceability of materials and works.
