Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Pipe Fitter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling, installing, maintaining, and repairing piping systems in accordance with blueprints, schematics, and specifications. This role requires strong technical knowledge, precision, and a commitment to safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of piping systems.

Measure, cut, thread, bend, and weld pipes using hand tools, power tools, or machines.

Assemble and install piping components such as valves, hangers, and supports.

Inspect work sites for potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety protocols.

Conduct pressure tests and troubleshoot systems to ensure proper functioning.

Modify existing pipe systems as needed during upgrades or repairs.

Work with a variety of materials including carbon steel, stainless steel, copper, and plastic.

Collaborate with other trades (e.g., welders, plumbers, HVAC technicians) on large-scale projects.

Maintain tools and equipment in proper working condition.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent (trade school preferred).

Completion of an apprenticeship or vocational training program.

Proven experience as a pipe fitter or similar role.

Proficiency in using pipefitting tools and equipment.

Strong understanding of safety procedures and relevant building codes.

Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Good physical condition and ability to lift heavy materials.

Preferred Certifications:

OSHA 10/30

NCCER Pipefitting Certification

Journeyman or Red Seal (region-specific)

Welding certification (if applicable)

Working Conditions:

Work may be indoors or outdoors, in residential, commercial, or industrial settings.

May involve confined spaces, heights, and exposure to varying temperatures or weather conditions.

Requires protective gear and adherence to safety standards.
