Mechanical & Plumbing (M&P) Oversight and Coordination
- Shop Drawing Review & Approval: Evaluate and approve non-critical shop drawings that do not require design calculations or multidisciplinary interface checks.
- Execution Coordination: Work closely with contractors' engineers and the client to ensure timely and high-quality M&P activities.
- M&P Installation Supervision: Oversee mechanical and piping system installations, ensuring compliance with project specifications, codes, and standards.
- Interdisciplinary Coordination: Align M&P works with E&I and civil disciplines to maintain seamless integration.
- Task Monitoring & Scheduling: Supervise daily M&P activities, optimize contractor resource allocation, ensure adherence to timelines, and swiftly resolve execution issues.
- Technical Problem-Solving: Provide expertise in M&P challenges, collaborating with clients and engineers for efficient resolution.
- Contractor & Vendor Liaison: Ensure timely procurement and delivery of M&P materials and equipment, coordinating third-party mobilization when necessary.
- Progress Reporting: Keep clients informed about contractor performance and project status.
- Project Timeline Monitoring: Track M&P activity schedules, identify potential delays, and alert clients to risks affecting overall project deadlines.
- Construction Compliance Verification: Confirm that construction aligns with design and approved IFC drawings.
- Quality Assurance & Inspection: Participate in material inspections, fabrication assessments, and installation reviews.
- Testing & Compliance Oversight: Witness hydrostatic, pneumatic, and other required QA/QC tests.
- HSE Compliance: Ensure that all M&P works adhere to project health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Safety Culture Promotion: Foster a strong safety mindset across all construction?activities.
