Job Summary:
We are looking for a qualified Testing and Commissioning Engineer (Electrical Power) to lead and execute testing and commissioning activities for high, medium, and low voltage electrical systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe, compliant, and efficient energization of substations, switchgear, transformers, and associated protection and control systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct pre-commissioning and commissioning tests for MV/LV and HV equipment, including switchgear, transformers, protection relays, CTs, VTs, and cables.
• Review and implement testing procedures in accordance with IEC and SEC/National Grid standards.
• Develop and execute test plans, method statements, and risk assessments.
• Perform functional and interlock testing of protection and control schemes.
• Interface with construction, design, SCADA, QA/QC, and client representatives.
• Analyze test results, troubleshoot issues, and prepare detailed test reports.
• Coordinate energization activities and ensure safe system handover.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols, electrical codes, and project specifications.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 4–8 years of experience in testing and commissioning of electrical power systems.
• Strong knowledge of HV/MV substations (13.8kV to 380kV), switchgear, protection relays, and power transformers.
• Familiar with testing instruments (Omicron, Megger, Doble, etc.).
• Excellent understanding of IEC, IEEE, SEC, and NGSA standards.
• Strong documentation and coordination skills.

Preferred:

• Certification in Electrical Testing and Commissioning (e.g., IEEE, NETA, or vendor-specific).
• Experience with GIS, AIS, and SCADA systems.
• Valid Saudi Council of Engineers membership (if applicable).
• Transferable Iqama (for KSA-based candidates).
