PROCUREMENT ENGINEER


Key Responsibilities:
We are looking for an experienced Procurement Engineer who is responsible for sourcing and purchasing of materials, equipment, and services for oil & gas projects, ensuring technical compliance, cost efficiency, and timely delivery to meet project needs.

Educational Background:
Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering

Skill and Training:
Good Communication Skills, Customer Relation Management process, Team Work, Computer Knowledge

Qualifications:


Procurement of capital Mechanical/Electrical/Instrumentation like Compressors, Vaporizers, Generators, Pumps, Motors, Control panels, Cables, Pipes & Fittings, required for LPG/Fuel/Special gas installations from domestic & international market.
Consolidating the project requirement based on the stores' request and floating inquiries to different vendors, making the techno-commercial comparatives based on the quotations in coordination with the project team.
Negotiating with the vendors and placing the purchase order after negotiation, finalization, and taking prior approval from the Manager.
Follow up with the vendors for deliveries.
Floating enquires for transportation of international shipments and finalizing the forwarder as per the Manager's Approval.
Checking the shipment documents before shipment of goods.
Follow up with the forwarder till the material reaches the store.
Coordinating with finance for the timely payments of vendors.
Planning to maintain the stock of consumable materials.
Coordinating with the vendor for the replacement of faulty material in case of manufacturing defects.
Procurement of required Tools & tackle, PPE equipment.
Receive the material request from the store and send inquiries to suppliers
Comparing the quotations & necessary approvals
Preparing the PO
Submit a periodical report of the activities to the Management
