Description

We are looking for a technically strong and proactive Sales Engineer with a background in Mechanical Fabrication, industrial painting/coating, and piping systems. Hands-on technical knowledge and proven experience in solution-based selling to the Oil and Gas Sector, especially in projects involving structural steel fabrication, process piping, and protective coatings.

Key Responsibilities
Client Engagement & Business Development:
• Identifies and engage with key clients, including EPC contractors, oil companies, refineries, and fabricators.
Technical Sales Support
• Understands project specifications and client requirements to propose appropriate technical solutions.
Product & Service Offering
Promote Services such as;
• Structural steel fabrication and assembly /Surface preparation and industrial painting (e.g; epoxy, polyutherane, fireproofing
• Process and utility piping systems (CS, SS, Duplex, GRE/GRP) / Skid packages, modular units and tank fabrication
Project Coordination
• Liaise with engineering, production, and QA/QC teams to ensure compliance with technical and delivery requirements.
Market & Competitor Analysis:
• Monitor market trends, competitor offerings, and new project announcements in the oil and gas sector.
Reporting
• Maintain accurate records of opportunities, leads, and customer communications using CRM tools.
• Provide regular updates on forecasts, sales pipeline, and customer feedback
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• 3–7 years of technical sales or project experience in the oil and gas industry.
• Solid understanding of: ASME, API, ASTM standards
o Welding and fabrication processes (GTAW, SMAW, FCAW)
o Blasting and painting systems (NACE/SSPC knowledge preferred)
o Piping design and isometric interpretation
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to read technical drawings (P&IDs, fabrication drawings, etc.).
• Familiar with project bidding and tendering processes.
• Willingness to travel to job sites, fabrication yards, and client offices.
