Job Brief:
We are looking for a skilled Electrical QA/QC Engineer 5+ yrs to join our team.
Your primary role will be to assure and control the quality of overall overhauling of rotating equipment of different sizes.
Ideal candidate will be the bridge between electrical & mechanical team and in charge of keeping everyone on the same page.
Key Responsibilities:
As successful candidate you will be required to perform the following:
• Conduct thorough inspection of electrical motors (AC & DC) LV & MV upon arrival from the client/customer.
LV :1KW-100KW 660V
MV : 150KW-15000KW 4KV, 6.6KV & 13.8KV
• Prepare detailed initial report after completing the inspection with all findings and submit it to the client.
• Prepare recommendation for the complete repair of the rotating equipment.
• Inspect all refurbished parts before motor assembly.
• Inspect completed windings and repairs for quality and accuracy.
• Prepare the final report and submit to client and work on client’s comments if any.
• Ensure compliance with company and industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols.
• Document work performed, including specifications, parts used, and test results.
• Develop and implement QA/QC policy and standards according to nature of work.
• Train the technicians to follow and adhere to quality work.
• Provide technical support to the team to enhance the work quality and meet client deadlines.
Minimum Requirements:
• Must hold a Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Should have a minimum 5 years experience in the rotating equipment discipline, especially in motor winding workshops or manufacturing industry.
• Previous experience in all types of electrical motors (AC & DC) LV & MV with service overhaul inspection of different sizes and preparing reports.
• Should have a thorough knowledge of rotating equipment like motors, generators, compressors, etc.
• Experience in Explosion proof (Exd) motors will be and added advantage.
• Should have a thorough knowledge of engineering practices & international codes, standards and specifications, including ISO 10816 and ISO 7919.
