Oversee the set-up of welding equipment.
Ensure compliance with established health/safety policies and regulations.
Carry out grinding and cutting operations to obtain various textures and sizes.
Operate power and hand tools such as arc welders, buffing machine, and scrapers.
Maintain good working knowledge of the welding characteristics of metals.
Read and interpret welding blueprints, schematics, and codes.
Ensure welding operations meet set specifications and project requirements.
Operates or tends welding machines that join or bond components to fabricate metal products and assembles.
Observes and listens to the welding machine and its controls to ensure the welding process meets specifications.
Inspects metal workpiece to ensure specifications are met, using measuring devices.
To comply with the Quality and HSE standards and report to the concerned in case of any non-compliance of the above standards noticed.
The employee is required to perform other duties associated with the position at all times.
