Job Summary:

- A Water Pump Control Mechanic is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of water pump systems and control mechanisms. They ensure the efficient operation of water pumps by diagnosing issues, replacing faulty components, and performing routine inspections.

Key Responsibilities:
- Install, inspect, and maintain water pumps, motors, and control panels.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical faults in pumps and control systems.
- Adjust pump controls and calibrate pressure settings to ensure optimal performance.
- Perform routine maintenance, including lubrication, cleaning, and parts replacement.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Test electrical circuits, wiring, and connections for proper functionality.
- Monitor pump performance and recommend upgrades or replacements when necessary.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies.
- Keep records of maintenance activities and repair work.
- Coordinate with engineers, electricians, and other technicians to resolve complex issues.


Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a pump mechanic, electrician, or similar role.
- Knowledge of water pump systems, electrical controls, and plumbing principles.
- Ability to read wiring diagrams and schematics.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with various pump types (centrifugal, submersible, booster, etc.).
- Understanding of electrical systems, voltage requirements, and control circuits.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and repair equipment.
- Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and work in confined spaces.


Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or technical certificate in mechanical or electrical engineering.
- Minimum 2-5 years of experience in water pump maintenance and repair.
- Certification in pump repair or electrical?work?is?a?plus.
