Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Draftsman with expertise in Tekla Structures and AutoCAD, capable of supervising fabrication works in the workshop and handling BOQ preparation and estimation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating detailed fabrication drawings, coordinating with clients and vendors, and ensuring smooth workshop operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare structural and fabrication drawings using Tekla Structures and AutoCAD.

Develop shop drawings, GA drawings, and assembly details for steel structures, Tanks, and other fabricated components.

Prepare Bill of Quantities (BOQ) based on project requirements.

Perform material take-offs and estimation for fabrication projects.

Receive, review, and manage drawings from clients, vendors, and design teams.

Coordinate with design engineers and project managers to interpret project specifications.

Supervise fabrication processes in the workshop to ensure compliance with drawings and quality standards.

Inspect fabricated components for dimensional accuracy and quality assurance.

Work closely with welders, fabricators, teams to resolve technical issues.

Ensure adherence to safety regulations and fabrication standards.

Maintain drawing records, revisions, and documentation as per project requirements.


Requirements:

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering or Technology or a relevant field.

5+ years of experience as a Draftsman in the fabrication industry.

Proficiency in Tekla Structures, AutoCAD, and related drafting software.

Experience in BOQ preparation, material estimation, and cost analysis.

Strong knowledge of fabrication and welding processes.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and standards.

Hands-on experience in workshop supervision and fabrication inspections.

Good understanding of steel structures, piping, and Tanks drawings.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
