Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Cost Controller with a strong background in the food and beverage industry to join our team at Laverve. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and controlling costs associated with food and beverage operations, ensuring that budgets are adhered to and financial processes are effectively managed.

Key Responsibilities:

Monitor and control costs related to food and beverage operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
Review and analyze food and beverage expenses, identifying areas for cost savings and improving profitability.
Collaborate with kitchen and bar management teams to track inventory, food waste, and purchasing.
Prepare detailed monthly cost reports, variance analyses, and recommendations to management.
Maintain accurate records of cost of goods sold (COGS), labor costs, and overhead expenses.
Evaluate vendor pricing and negotiate contracts to ensure cost-effective procurement.
Assist with pricing strategies for menus and new product offerings to maintain profitability.
Conduct audits of food and beverage inventory and assist with stock control.
Analyze the impact of new food and beverage initiatives on overall costs and profitability.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Cost Controller within the food and beverage industry.
Strong knowledge of food and beverage cost control, inventory management, and financial reporting.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multiple departments.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
Knowledge of food cost percentage, gross profit margin, and labor cost ratios.
Understanding of food and beverage operational dynamics and industry trends.
