Roles and Responsibilities

1. Cost Estimation
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.

- Analyze project specifications, blueprints, and drawings to determine material and labor costs.

2. Budget Preparation
- Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring all estimates align with client expectations and project goals.

3.Quantity Takeoffs
- Perform quantity takeoffs to accurately assess the amount of materials required for MEP installations.

4. Bid Preparation:
- Assist in preparing bids for projects, ensuring that all necessary components are included and accounted for.

5. Collaboration:
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and Technical team to gather information and understand project requirements.

6. Market Research
- Conduct research to stay updated on material costs, labor rates, and industry trends to ensure competitive and accurate estimates.

7. Risk Analysis
- Identify potential risks and uncertainties in cost estimation and suggest mitigation strategies.

8. Documentation
- Maintain accurate records of estimates, bids, and related documentation for future reference.

9. Review and Adjustments
- Review and adjust estimates based on project changes or new information, ensuring alignment with project timelines and budgets.

10. Client Communication
- Communicate with clients regarding cost estimates, scope changes, and any potential impacts on project budgets.


Skills Required

- Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
- Proficiency in MEP systems and construction methods.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., AutoCAD, Planshift, revu and estimating software).
