Job Overview:
The Senior Planning Engineer is responsible for creating, updating, and managing project schedules and plans. They work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure the efficient use of resources, while meeting the overall project deadlines, budgets, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Scheduling:

Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans and schedules using software like Primavera P6, MS Project, or other planning tools.
Ensure that all project milestones, timelines, and deliverables are clearly defined and achievable.
Monitor project progress and update schedules regularly.
Resource Management:

Plan and allocate resources efficiently (personnel, equipment, materials) to ensure project completion within deadlines.
Provide resource loading and leveling to avoid over-allocation and under-utilization.
Risk Management:

Identify project risks related to time, scope, and resources, and develop mitigation strategies.
Track and report any delays or issues that may affect the project timeline.
Stakeholder Communication:

Provide regular updates and reports to senior management, stakeholders, and clients on project progress.
Communicate potential delays or issues that could impact project completion.
Cost Control and Budgeting:

Collaborate with the cost control team to manage and track the budget for the project.
Ensure that the project remains within the allocated budget by monitoring costs and expenses.
Documentation and Reporting:

Prepare detailed project status reports, including schedule updates, forecasts, and recommendations.
Ensure that all project documentation is kept up-to-date and easily accessible.
Collaboration and Coordination:

Work closely with engineering, procurement, construction, and other teams to ensure seamless project execution.
Attend project meetings and coordinate with various departments to resolve issues or concerns.
Continuous Improvement:

Analyze project performance and suggest improvements for future planning and execution.
Stay updated on industry best practices and technological advancements in project planning and scheduling.
