Job Overview:
We are looking for a skilled Accountant to join our team at SJ Traders. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring the accuracy of all financial operations. This role requires someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and has a solid understanding of accounting principles.

Key Responsibilities:
Financial Recordkeeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, journals, and accounts.
Transaction Processing: Manage day-to-day financial transactions, including sales, purchases, receipts, and payments.
Reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliations of bank statements, cash registers, and accounts to ensure accuracy.
Invoicing and Billing: Prepare and process invoices for customers and suppliers, ensuring all details are correct and payments are processed on time.
Payroll: Oversee payroll processing for employees, ensuring compliance with local labor laws and company policies.
Tax Compliance: Ensure that the company is compliant with tax regulations, including preparing tax returns and handling tax payments.
Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including profit and loss reports, balance sheets, and cash flow analysis.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist with budgeting, financial forecasting, and analysis to support business decision-making.
Internal Controls: Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard the company’s financial assets and prevent fraud or discrepancies.
Customer and Supplier Accounts: Monitor accounts payable and receivable to ensure timely payments and collections.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Proven experience as an accountant, preferably in the retail or hardware industry.
Strong knowledge of accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Excel.
In-depth understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Knowledge of tax regulations and payroll processes is a plus.
