Butcher duties and responsibilities

Butcher understands how to weigh and portion cuts of different kinds of meat. He is
usually able to use equipment such as meat grinders, saws and other tools to break
down meat into portions. Butcher is responsible for creating eye-catching displays in
order to make the products enticing to customers. Other duties and responsibilities
of a butcher include:

- Preparing, trimming, weighing meat
- Cutting and boning a carcass
- Packaging meat and storing it correctly
- Cutting, mincing, and portioning raw meats as per the standard for all outlets based on
the request ensuring maximum yield.
- Cleaning and maintaining tools and equipment in butchery.
- Receive, inspect, and store meat upon delivery.
- Keeping records and inventory and performing quality inspections.
- Coordinating deliveries or order pickups.
- Maintains a high standard of sanitation and hygiene in the area.
- Adhering to FSMS (Food Safety Management System) standards and personal hygiene
at all times.
- Communicates to his superior any difficulties, guest or internal customer comment
and other relevant information.
- Cleans and re-sets his working area.
- Initiate action to correct a hazardous situation and notify supervisors of potential
dangers.
- Log security incidents and accidents following resort requirements.
- Implements the regulations, policies and procedures.
- Carry out any reasonable duties as instructed.

Preferably Asian, Egyptian or Moroccan nationals
