Description

1. Strategic Planning and Process Optimization
Develop and implement logistics strategies to meet business objectives.
Optimize supply chain operations to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
Analyze logistics data to identify areas for improvement and recommend solutions.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of logistics operations.

2. Management of Transportation and Distribution
Oversee transportation activities, including inbound and outbound shipments.
Ensure timely delivery of goods while maintaining quality and safety standards.
Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers and carriers.
Plan and monitor routes to minimize delivery times and fuel costs.

3. Team Leadership and Development
Supervise, train, and mentor logistics staff, including warehouse personnel and drivers.
Assign tasks, monitor performance, and ensure adherence to operational standards.
Conduct regular team meetings to align goals and address operational challenges.
Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and teamwork within the logistics department.

4. Inventory and Warehouse Management
Monitor inventory levels to ensure sufficient stock and prevent overstocking or shortages.
Implement inventory control procedures to minimize losses and maintain accuracy.
Oversee warehouse operations, including storage, packing, and dispatching of goods.
Ensure compliance with safety and health regulations in warehouse and transportation activities.

Oversee customs clearance processes for international shipments.
Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for logistics operations.

Prepare and manage logistics budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness in operations.
Negotiate contracts and rates with carriers and suppliers.
Track and report on key performance metrics, such as cost-per-shipment and delivery time.
Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising service quality.

7. Customer Service and Problem Resolution
Collaborate with the customer service team to address delivery-related issues.
Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by meeting delivery timelines and quality standards.
Respond promptly to operational disruptions, such as delays or damages, and implement corrective actions.

8. Technology and Innovation
Leverage logistics technology, such as Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), to streamline operations.
