Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Milestone Certified VMS System Engineer to manage and maintain video management systems (VMS) and ensure seamless integration with network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Milestone VMS, Microsoft Active Directory, VMware ESXi, Windows Server, Wireshark, and SQL Express Management Studio.

Key Responsibilities:
1. VMS Installation & Configuration
Deploy, configure, and maintain Milestone XProtect VMS solutions.
Integrate VMS with third-party systems, including access control and intrusion detection systems.
Perform upgrades, patches, and system optimization tasks.
2. Server & Network Management
Configure and manage Windows Server environments, including Active Directory (AD).
Utilize VMware ESXi for virtual server setups and resource management.
Troubleshoot network issues using tools like Wireshark to ensure system reliability and performance.
3. Database Management
Install, configure, and manage SQL Express Management Studio for VMS databases.
Monitor database performance and resolve related issues.
Create and maintain database backups for disaster recovery planning.
4. Troubleshooting & Support
Provide advanced troubleshooting for system-related issues, including server, VMS, and network-level problems.
Work closely with the IT team to resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
Document and escalate unresolved issues to the vendor or support team.
5. Security & Compliance
Implement best practices for system security, including firewall configurations and user access control.
Ensure compliance with organizational and industry security standards.
6. Client & Team Collaboration
Provide training and support to end-users and internal teams.
Prepare technical documentation, including SOPs and user guides.
Collaborate with project managers and clients to deliver customized VMS solutions.

Qualifications:
Education & Certification
Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics, IT, or a related field (preferred).
Milestone Certified Integration Technician (MCIT) or Milestone Certified Design Engineer (MCDE) certification is mandatory.

Experience
5-8 years of hands-on experience with Milestone VMS and related technologies.
Strong background in Windows Server (2016/2019) administration.
Proficiency in VMware ESXi virtualization and management.
Experience with Active Directory, including group policies and user management.
Technical Skills
Proficiency with SQL Express Management Studio for database configuration and troubleshooting.
Hands-on experience with network diagnostic tools like Wireshark.
Knowledge of IP cameras, RTSP, ONVIF protocols, and video codecs.
Familiarity with hardware specifications for servers and storage systems.

Soft Skills
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Preferred Skills (Not Mandatory):
Experience with other VMS platforms (e.g., Avigilon, Genetec).
Knowledge of cloud-based VMS solutions.
Scripting skills (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for automation.
