Job Summary:

The Cleaning Supervisor is responsible for overseeing cleaning staff and ensuring that all cleaning tasks are completed according to the highest standards. This role involves supervising and managing a team of cleaners, scheduling their shifts, maintaining cleaning supplies, conducting inspections, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. The Cleaning Supervisor plays a crucial role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all staff, visitors, and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Supervise and lead a team of cleaning staff, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest standards.
2. Provide training and development to cleaning staff to improve performance and ensure understanding of cleaning techniques, safety standards, and equipment handling.
3. Assign and review cleaning duties, ensuring all areas are cleaned according to the scheduled plan.
4. Monitor and evaluate team performance, providing feedback and guidance.
5. Oversee daily cleaning operations, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, trash removal, restocking supplies, and sanitizing surfaces.
6. Ensure all cleaning equipment is used correctly, maintained in good working order, and safely stored.
7. Inspect all areas for cleanliness, and ensure all cleaning standards are met.
8. Ensure that cleaning products and equipment are stored securely and in compliance with safety regulations.
9. Ensure that all cleaning activities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
10. Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate department.

Qualifications and Requirements:

1. High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in facilities management or cleaning operations is a plus.
2. Proven experience in cleaning or facilities management, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory role.
3. Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and chemicals.
4. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
5. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work in a fast-paced environment.
6. Knowledge of health and safety regulations in relation to cleaning.
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
8. Knowledge about Microsoft and using computer for reports.
9. Address any cleaning issues or complaints promptly and effectively.
