Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Safety Officer with a proven track record in the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of safety standards across all operations at the worksite. This role involves monitoring, advising, and implementing safety measures to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
Safety Compliance & Monitoring:

Ensure adherence to safety regulations and industry best practices in the Oil & Gas/Petrochemical sector.
Conduct regular site inspections to identify hazards and unsafe practices.
Ensure all safety equipment is available, operational, and regularly maintained.
Risk Assessment:

Conduct risk assessments to identify potential safety hazards and provide solutions.
Perform job safety analysis (JSA) for worksite activities and ensure proper safety measures are implemented.
Training & Development:

Conduct safety induction and regular safety training sessions for new and existing employees.
Develop and maintain safety-related documentation, including manuals, procedures, and training materials.
Accident & Incident Investigation:

Investigate accidents and near misses, documenting findings and suggesting corrective actions.
Prepare and submit detailed incident reports to management.
Safety Audits & Inspections:

Perform routine safety audits and ensure compliance with local regulations, corporate policies, and safety standards.
Advise on emergency response procedures and coordinate safety drills and exercises.
Health & Environmental Monitoring:

Ensure the health and environmental safety of all personnel by monitoring exposure to hazardous materials and working conditions.
Collaborate with the HSE (Health, Safety, and Environmental) team to ensure environmental protection protocols are followed.
Reporting:

Prepare safety performance reports for management and participate in safety meetings.
Maintain records of safety activities, including inspections, training, and accident reports.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Safety Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field.
NEBOSH, IOSH, or similar certifications in health and safety management are highly desirable.
Experience:

10-15 years of proven experience as a Safety Officer in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or related industries.
Strong knowledge of Saudi Arabia's health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Demonstrated expertise in conducting safety audits, risk assessments, and accident investigations.
Skills:

Excellent understanding of safety protocols and emergency response procedures.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to train and mentor personnel on safety practices.
Proficiency in using safety management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
