Unix/Linux/Ubuntu Administrator

Responsibilities:

Manage the software, hardware, and systems on a Linux/ubuntu server
Design, build, and maintain core services and
infrastructure
Ensure compliance of information assurance policies, concepts, and measures
Install and monitor Linux/ubuntu operating systems
Implement security measures and identify potential issues
Participate in programming, scripting, and process automation
Able to install, update work on custom application solutions based on the instructions provided
Ability to understand the custom workflow of the custom application build on the ubuntu server
Able to work on site
Able to design & manage backup and recovery


Skills:

2+ years of hands-on Linux/ubuntu Systems Administration experience
Experience installing and configuring mail services, firewalls, and networks
Experience with information security frameworks such as device encryption, digital certificates, and anti-virus tooling
Experience using observability tools and stack traces
Experience scripting and developing system automation tools
Experience with log analysis, monitoring, and alerting systems
Knowledge of TCP/IP addressing, routing, and troubleshooting
Familiarity with fundamental concepts including DNS, VPN, APN and PKI
Knowledge of modern configuration management tooling
Knowledge of gateways, firewalls, and routers
Knowledge of working with wifi modem gateway
