Job Title: Sales Engineer / Specialist (Lighting Sector)
Nature of Vacancy: Full Time
Location of Posting: Jeddah, KSA
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Sales Engineer/Specialist to drive the sales of lighting and lighting control solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting and selling advanced lighting solutions, collaborating with key stakeholders, and providing technical support for large-scale government and commercial projects.
Preferred Age Bracket:
24 - 30 years
Academic Background:
• Required: Engineering Graduate (Electrical Engineering, Architecture, or Production Engineering)
• Preferred: Post-Graduate in Marketing/Management (an added advantage)
Experience:
• 1-3 years in sales, specifically within the construction/building material or lighting sector.
• Prior experience working with Government Agencies, Architects, and Consultants, particularly in obtaining product specifications and approvals.
• A proven track record in the sales of high-end construction/building materials or lighting products.
• Experience dealing with local architects in Saudi Arabia, as well as international architects from Western countries.
• Experience working with Government entities and consultants providing technical support for government projects.
• Ability to independently manage sales activities and client relationships.
Nature of Past Experience:
• Sales of high-end construction materials, lighting solutions, or building products.
• Strong background in working closely with specifying agencies for large-scale government projects.
• Familiarity with working with architects, consultants, and contractors in the lighting and construction sector, particularly in the Saudi market.
Specific Skills Required:
• Expertise in selling high-end lighting solutions and building materials.
• Ability to engage and collaborate with specifying agencies, architects, and consultants for major projects.
• Strong network with general contractors, interior contractors, and project managers in the lighting sector.
• Excellent selling and negotiation skills in the B2B sector, particularly with high-value clients.
Desired Personal Attributes:
• Outgoing, confident, and dynamic personality with strong interpersonal skills.
• Excellent communication and influencing abilities, particularly when interacting with architects, consultants, project managers, and contractors.
• Strong presence in project site activities and the ability to resolve technical and commercial issues independently.
• Must hold a valid KSA driving license and be open to being based in Jeddah.
Languages:
• Required: Proficiency in English.
• Preferred: Knowledge of spoken and written Arabic will be a plus.
