Position Overview:
The Procurement Officer is responsible for sourcing and purchasing goods, materials, and services under the most favorable terms to meet the organization’s operational needs. This includes ensuring quality, cost-efficiency, and timely delivery while adhering to company policies and ethical standards. The role also involves managing, maintaining, and regularly updating accurate vendor lists.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Procurement Planning: Collaborate with departments to understand their procurement needs. Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals. Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of market trends and supplier innovations.
2. Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with suppliers. Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with vendors to secure favorable deals. Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues related to quality, delivery, or pricing.
3. Sourcing and Purchasing: Prepare and process purchase orders and requisitions. Ensure compliance with budgetary constraints and organizational policies. Source alternative suppliers and products to ensure continuity in case of disruptions.
4. Contract Management: Review and manage procurement contracts to ensure terms are met. Ensure all documentation is complete and complies with legal and regulatory requirements.
5. Risk Management: Assess risks related to the supply chain and implement mitigation strategies.
6. Cost and Quality Management: Conduct cost analyses to identify potential savings. Monitor and ensure the quality of goods and services meets company standards.
7. Record Keeping and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of purchases, suppliers, and contracts. Prepare reports on procurement activities, savings, and supplier performance for management.

Key Skills and Competencies:
Strong bilingual proficiency in Arabic and English, both spoken and written. Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills. Excellent organizational and time-management abilities. Analytical thinking with a focus on cost reduction and efficiency. Proficiency in procurement software. Strong knowledge of procurement regulations and best practices. Ability to build and maintain strong supplier relationships.

Qualifications and Experience:-
Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.-
A strong technical background is preferred. –
Minimum [7] years of experience in a procurement or supply chain role in Saudi Arabia.
