Purchase Officer
(Construction Sector – Bangladeshi, Pakistan, Indian, Srilankan)

Key Roles and Responsibilities:
• Follow and ensure compliance with the Company's Procurement Policies and Procedures
• Comply with Procurement Schedules for the purchase of equipment, services and materials
• Coordinate transportation of materials to project sites
• Create and maintain good relationships with all vendors/suppliers
• Review and analyze all vendors/suppliers, supply and pricing options to generate quote comparison sheets (with confidentiality)
• Negotiate the best deal for pricing and supply contracts
• Obtain samples for finishes, materials etc.
• Obtain quotes from material suppliers, installers and other service providers
• Material take offs from drawings and BOQs
• Follow up on payments, delivery notes and invoices
• Ensure all purchased items are delivered in a timely manner
• Work with team members and Managers in order to fulfill job duties, as needed.
• General Project Administration including maintaining complete and accurate records
• Any other tasks as required by the Manager – Projects and / or the Managing Director
• Maintain and update supplier information such as track record, experience, product lines etc.
• Maintain records of all purchases, pricing and other important data including inventory to avoid over ordering or purchasing.
• Create Purchase Requisitions

Skills and Qualifications
• Diploma in Purchasing / Procurement or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Procurement Officer or a related position
• Experience in the construction industry in Saudi Arabia (GCC).
• Knowledge and understanding of procurement processes, policies and systems
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel (advance level pivot table, v-lookup etc.)
• Experience with Accounting Software (ERP, Microsoft Dynamics etc.) will be considered an asset
• Ability to analyze problems and strategize for better solutions

• Goal-oriented, organized, team player
