About the Project:
Our company is currently engaged in a major pipeline infrastructure project in Neom, Saudi Arabia. We are seeking an experienced Welding Quality Control (QC) Engineer to oversee all welding quality control activities on the project. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified Mechanical Engineer with a CSWIP 3.1 certificate who is familiar with Neom standards or SWCC standards and is available to join immediately to contribute to the successful execution of this high-profile pipeline construction project.

Job Description:
As a Welding QC Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance of all welding activities related to the pipeline construction. Your role will involve overseeing welding procedures, inspecting welding work, conducting quality checks, and ensuring that all welding processes conform to project specifications, codes, and standards. You will work closely with the welding team, project management, and other stakeholders to ensure that quality control is maintained throughout the welding process.

Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all welding quality control activities on the pipeline construction site, ensuring compliance with welding procedures and project specifications.
Review and approve welding procedures and ensure they align with international codes and standards (e.g., ASME, API, AWS).
Conduct inspections and quality control checks on welding work to verify conformance to specifications, quality standards, and industry best practices.
Monitor and evaluate welding techniques, materials, and equipment to ensure they meet project requirements.
Ensure welding activities are in compliance with Neom standards or SWCC standards (Saudi Water Conversion Corporation standards), as applicable.
Maintain detailed welding inspection records and reports, documenting any non-conformance or deviations from standards.
Ensure all welding operations adhere to safety protocols and quality control procedures.
Coordinate with the project and engineering teams to address any welding-related quality issues.
Review and interpret inspection reports and develop corrective actions to resolve any identified issues.
Provide guidance and training to welding staff to ensure adherence to quality control standards.
Conduct audits and ensure that welding-related documentation (e.g., procedure qualifications, welder qualifications) is up to date and in compliance.
Liaise with third-party inspectors and external quality auditors as necessary.
Required Qualifications:
Immediate availability to join the project.
Valid iqama is a mandatory requirement. Applicants without a valid iqama will not be considered.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
CSWIP 3.1 (Welding Inspector) certification is mandatory.
Minimum of [5] years of experience as a Welding QC Engineer in pipeline or construction projects.
In-depth knowledge of welding codes and standards (e.g., ASME, API, AWS).
Experience in welding inspection, welding procedures, and quality control in pipeline welding projects.
Familiarity with Neom standards and/or SWCC standards for pipeline construction projects is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of welding materials, techniques, and equipment specific to pipeline construction.
Proficiency in welding inspection tools and techniques, including visual inspections, NDT (Non-Destructive Testing), and welding reports.
Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and welding management software.
Fluency in English (both written and spoken).
Ability to work effectively in a challenging and remote project environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working on Neom or other high-profile international projects.
Previous experience in a quality control role on pipeline projects in remote or challenging environments.
Salary & Benefits:
Salary: 5,000 to 7,000 SAR per month, depending on experience and qualifications.
