Job Summary

A Quality Control Inspector is responsible for ensuring that products and processes meet established quality standards. This role involves inspecting incoming materials, monitoring production processes, and testing finished products to identify and address any defects or inconsistencies.

Key Responsibilities

Inspect incoming materials: Examine raw materials, components, and parts to verify that they meet specified quality standards.
Monitor production processes: Observe manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with established procedures and guidelines.
Test finished products: Conduct various tests and inspections to assess the quality of finished products, including dimensional measurements, functional testing, and visual inspections.
Identify defects: Detect any defects or non-conformities in products or processes and document findings.
Report quality issues: Communicate quality problems to relevant departments, such as production, engineering, or management.
Implement corrective actions: Assist in developing and implementing corrective actions to address quality issues.
Maintain quality records: Document inspection results, test data, and quality reports.
Calibrate equipment: Ensure that inspection equipment is properly calibrated and maintained.
Comply with quality standards: Adhere to industry standards, regulations, and company quality policies.
Qualifications and Skills

High school diploma or equivalent
Experience in quality control or related field
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good communication and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of quality control tools and techniques
Proficiency in using inspection equipment (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges)
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
Additional Requirements (may vary depending on industry and company)

Certification in quality control (e.g., Certified Quality Inspector (CQI))
Experience in a specific industry (e.g., manufacturing, automotive, aerospace)
Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC)
