Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Civil Site Construction Manager with a strong technical background in Mechanical and Electrical (MEP) systems. The ideal candidate will oversee the planning, execution, and successful completion of civil construction projects, ensuring all MEP aspects are integrated seamlessly. You will be responsible for managing on-site activities, coordinating with project teams, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Project Management: Oversee and manage all on-site civil construction activities, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and on budget.
• MEP Coordination: Collaborate with MEP engineers and subcontractors to ensure all materials submittal & shop drawings are as per the contract and the successful integration of MEP systems into the overall construction plan.
• Team Leadership: Lead, supervise, and mentor on-site construction teams, including contractors, subcontractors, and laborers.
• Quality Control: Monitor and enforce quality standards across all construction activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
• Safety Compliance: Ensure all construction activities adhere to health and safety regulations, conducting regular site inspections to mitigate risks.
• Budget Management: Monitor project budgets, manage resources efficiently, and report on financial performance to senior management.
• Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders, providing regular updates on project progress.
• Problem Solving: Identify and resolve any issues that arise during the construction process, including delays, design discrepancies, and resource constraints.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all site activities, including daily logs, progress reports, and material inventories.
Qualifications:
• Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. A strong understanding of MEP systems is essential.
• Experience: A minimum of 7-10 years of experience in civil construction management, with at least 3-5 years in a role involving significant MEP coordination.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., AutoCAD, Primavera, MS Project) and a solid understanding of MEP systems.
• Leadership Skills: Proven experience in leading construction teams, with strong organizational, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of stakeholders.
• Legal Compliance: Knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
• Language: English & Arabic
