Job Title: Senior Database Developer
Location: Saudi Aribia

Experience Level: Senior 8 to 10 years

We are looking for a Senior Database Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in SQL, Oracle, Cosmos DB, PL/SQL, Redis, and MongoDB, and will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex database solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
Database Design & Development:
Design, implement, and maintain complex database systems.
Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers.
Implement database solutions using Oracle, Cosmos DB, Redis, and MongoDB.
Ensure data integrity, security, and performance across multiple database platforms.

Data Modeling:
Develop logical and physical data models based on project requirements.
Design and maintain database schemas and structures to support business needs.

Performance Tuning:
Optimize database performance through query optimization, indexing, and proper configuration.
Monitor and analyze database performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement.

Database Maintenance:
Manage database backup and recovery processes.
Implement and maintain database security protocols.
Ensure high availability of database systems, including failover and disaster recovery planning.

Collaboration & Support:
Work closely with software developers, architects, and business analysts to understand project requirements and translate them into database solutions.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.
Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues in a timely manner.

Documentation:
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for database designs, processes, and configurations.
Ensure all database changes are well-documented and follow best practices.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
8+ years of experience in database development with a focus on SQL, Oracle, and PL/SQL.
Proficiency in working with NoSQL databases like Cosmos DB, Redis, and MongoDB.
Strong knowledge of database architecture, data modeling, and normalization principles.
Experience with performance tuning and optimization techniques for both SQL and NoSQL databases.
Experience with cloud-based database solutions and services.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong understanding of database security and data protection principles.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in a related field.
Experience in Banking domain is highly desired
Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
Certifications in relevant database technologies (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional, MongoDB Certified Developer).
