Description

For the visit the electrician should know this :

- Earthing installation > Important for an EV charger installation, he need to assess if we need to create a ne earthing installation or if we can rely on the existing one
- ⁠SEC specification specialist > Need to know SEC requirement about DC installation, you can find it online
- ⁠The electrical protection of the charger can be installed on an existing electrical panel if the main breaker can support the load of the charger (Also the power of the building must be sufficient to allow a DC charger to be installed), if not the electrician must visually see if we need to add a new main breaker or an entirely new panel who will be connected to the main power source (SEC)
- ⁠DC charger heat up a lot, you should take this into consideration during the visit and propose to the client the optimal position for the charger to maintain operational temperature and allow for maintenance interventions
- ⁠EV charger installation require surge protection, the electrician must check in the electrical panel if there is one

*Proven experience as an electrician
*Experience in industrial and/or commercial electrical systems
*Demonstrable ability to use electrical and hand tools (e.g. wire strippers, voltmeter etc.) and electrical drawings and blueprints
*Thorough knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations and guidelines
*Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability
*Excellent physical condition and flexibility to work long shifts and overnight
*Diploma in relevant vocational training or successfully completed apprenticeship as an electrician
*Valid license to practice profession
