Description

Inspection and testing of Pipes

The jobholder will inspect the pipes as per the requirements of product drawing following the inspection and testing program.
Availability of product drawings
Availability of ITP and related procedures
Availability of calibrated equipment's.
QC reports for pipes

Control and check of Resin mix and process control
Responsible for controlling and measuring the refractive index of the resin mix to ensure it meets the set requirements.
Ensure that all the process parameters are strictly controlled and meets the set requirements.  Availability of Resin Mix – Log/Report
Availability of process control data sheet.

Non-destructive testing:
The jobholder will undertake the non-destructive tests in accordance to the ITP requirement so as to ensure conformity to requirements. Availability of ITP/Specifications
Availability of QC Reports

Policies & Procedures:
Follow all relevant operational procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.  Audit of compliance to operational procedures and instructions.

Destructive Testing:
The jobholder will undertake destructive tests in accordance to the frequency stated in project ITP agreed with the Client/consultant. Availability of ITP/Project requirements
Availability of Batch Test report for Destructive Testing

Preparation of reports:
The jobholder will prepare the daily QC internal reports as well as project specific documentation (Manufacturing Record Book - MRB) to be submitted to the Client.
Availability of Daily QC Reports
Availability of Manufacturing Record Book (as applicable)

Adherence to Company H & S:
Ensure that he wears the protective equipment as assigned and that all work is undertaken in accordance to the Company H&S policy and Procedures
Follow all relevant safety, quality and environmental control procedures and instructions so that personal safety/the safety of others is not jeopardized and a minimum level of product/service quality and environmental impact can be guaranteed.
Awareness of company H & S policy.
Availability of protective equipment.
Availability of Accident Report, if any.
Audit of compliance to safety, quality and environmental procedure and instruction.

Internal: Production, PPD
External: Third party inspectors

6. JOB RELEVANT INFORMATION (BOUNDARIES & DECISION MAKING AUTHORITY)
The job holder has no decision making authority

7. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS
Required Qualifications:
Technical school certificate. Diploma in Mechanical engineering/Chemical engineering is preferred, but not a must.

Preferred Experience:
Minimum 1 to 2 years experience in manufacturing industry.
Experience in quality control is preferred.

Job-Specific Skills:
Ability to use measuring and testing equipment's
Reading and interpretation of engineering drawings
Good communication skill and ability to present data in report form.
Good mathematical skills.
