1. JOB ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Preparing schedules and estimates for labor and material costs based on the scope of work outlined in the plans
Coordinating with architects, contractors, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth construction project execution
Preparing schematic designs and drawings as well as detailed engineering plans and specifications for construction projects
Scheduling workers and materials such as lumber, steel, concrete, etc. according to project schedules
Reviewing blueprints and drawings to ensure they meet building codes, are accurate, and are complete
Evaluating the safety of construction sites and identifying potential hazards to workers
Developing plans for equipment needed at construction sites, such as cranes and bulldozers
Preparing a budget for the construction project by estimating materials costs and labor requirements
Preparing reports that detail project status and any issues that may arise during construction
Ensure to convey required project data and information to project teams.
Prepare and present regular internal and external project reports for management.
Gather actual data, update project schedule and develop reliable schedule forecast with support from project team.
Lead development of baseline schedule and support Project Manager (PM) in Integrated Baseline Review (IBR).
Producing the high level, detailed WBS with the required histograms for Manpower engagement, resource engagement, Equipment plans, Project financial forecast plans
Evaluate and analyze with team risks and issues compromising project results and develop plans to mitigate them.
Analyse specifications and capacity and undertake appropriate calculations to estimate job requirements in terms of labour, tools, materials and resources
Work with the Discipline Head to agree technical resource required, and forecast and
manage resource costs throughout the project
Analyzes the client’s documents to ensure the responses being created respond implicitly to the questions being asked.
Ensure that the right tools and processes are in place to deliver effective capacity planning and performance monitoring across the organisation
Ensure to take appropriate planning measures with all clients to reassess, renegotiate and amend scope of work responsibilities, proposals, contracts and budgets.
Educate employees in methods to ensure project continuity and completeness.
Develop detailed task lists and work effort assessment.
Prepare short and long-term resource allocation plans based on input from all key players and team members
Oversee schedules and risk management plans and provide serious deviations warnings hindering project results. Identify changes in work scope in the project plan.
Set department objectives/KPIs and review ways in which to enhance the performance of the capacity planning department and add value
Recommend and implement modifications to improve effectiveness and attain project milestones.
Plan, coordinate and monitor activities of assigned projects to develop and implement procedures, processes and systems
Establish good communication b/w internal stakeholders to obtain and ensure that current and accurate information is used for planning purposes to meet operational requirements
Regularly communicate plans and forecasts to internal stakeholders and review plans to ensure efficient resource utilisation
Performs other roles and duties as may be reasonably required by the Operations Director and related to the nature of the job.
