Job Summary:
Should possess a range of qualifications and experiences to effectively carry out the responsibilities of the role. Here are the qualifications and experiences required for a candidate for the position of estimator.
Knowledge of the Signage Industry:
good understanding of the types of signage used in the industry, including advertising signs, directional signs, internal signs, external signs, and more.
materials & specifications Understanding:
-Study project packages in detail and select materials according to specifications.
-Go deeper into the details and specifications.
-Communicate with material suppliers to request prices and samples (if they are special materials).
Graphic Design Understanding:
Having a grasp of graphic design principles, including colors, patterns, and fonts used in creating signs, is essential.
Printing and Production Techniques:
understand various production techniques and printing methods used in sign production.
Accounting and Pricing Skills:
Strong numerical and accounting skills are necessary for estimating material and labor costs accurately and pricing signs in a way that ensures profitability.
Communication Skills:
Effective communication skills are essential for interacting with colleagues, understanding client needs and requirements, and explaining cost estimates.
Software Proficiency:
Familiarity with design software such as AutoCAD & Adobe Illustrator.
Time Management:
able to organize and manage your time effectively to meet deadlines and fulfill.
Previous Experience:

Prior experience in sign manufacturing, advertising, or marketing may be beneficial and increase your chances of securing the position.
Negotiation Skills:
Negotiation skills are valuable for reaching beneficial agreements with suppliers.
