Key Responsibilities:
1. Monitor and Track Truck Movements:
• Use GPS tracking systems to monitor the real-time locations of trucks.
• Ensure drivers adhere to specified routes and delivery schedules.
2. Manage Shipment Schedules:
• Coordinate shipment schedules and ensure efficient distribution to available trucks.
• Optimize resource utilization for maximum efficiency.
3. Communicate with Drivers:
• Provide support to drivers during trips, including guidance and answering queries.
• Resolve issues that may arise during trips, such as technical breakdowns or delays.
4. Prepare Reports:
• Prepare periodic reports on fleet performance and any encountered challenges.
• Provide recommendations for process improvements based on collected data.
5. Compliance with Standards and Policies:
• Ensure all drivers comply with traffic regulations and local transport laws.
• Follow up on the implementation of safety and occupational health procedures.
6. Coordinate with Other Departments:
• Work in coordination with the maintenance team to ensure truck readiness.
• Collaborate with the planning team to meet customer requirements.
Qualifications and Requirements:
1. Education and Experience:
• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Transport and Logistics, or a related field.
• Previous experience in a similar role is an added advantage.
2. Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in using vehicle tracking systems and transport management software.
• Excellent computer skills, especially in Microsoft Office applications.
3. Personal Skills:
• Effective communication skills and ability to solve problems quickly.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in task execution.
